Charter Fishing at Destin Harbor
Fishing is why Destin became what it is today. This sleepy fishing village is now home to one of the finest charter fishing fleets in the country. To find a great charter captain visit the docks behind AJ's restaurant any summer afternoon and watch the fleet return with their catch. The are over 50 charter captains to choose from and get a first hand look at the vessel and the crew.
Sportsmen are always heading out of the harbor for grouper, red snapper and amberjack. Sundays at AJ's is a local favorite hangout for fresh seafood and good music. Come and book our houses and we can set you up with charter captains for deep sea fishing or flat fishing on the bay.
The Destin Fishing Rodeo is in October every year and it is a local tradition. It is an ideal time to book a fishing trip with low rental rates and superb weather. Everyday you can fish and compete to bring in the big one. For over 50 years locals and visitors have enjoyed this fishing experience. We have guides for kayaks and ecotours as well. It is a beautiful day when you head off into the surf on your yolo board. Take a kayak to get into the environment of the scenic lakes and enjoy our beautiful sunsets of our coastal dunes lakes.
